FAQ
How far along should I be for my maternity photoshoot?
I always suggest comfort over getting the biggest bump possible! Early in the third trimester (28-32 weeks), mothers are typically still comfortable and have enough energy for a photo shoot. However, it is entirely up to you and I have done maternity pics as early as 24 weeks and as late as 39 weeks!
How old should my baby be for their newborn session?
Ideally, you should book your newborn pictures within the first month after your baby is born. This can of course vary based on health issues, baby's size, temperment, etc.
How long does it take you to set up and break down the travel newborn set?
It will usually take me around 10 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to break down, depending on what backdrops/props/wraps/etc are used. This time is NOT taken out of your session time, your time is counted once we start shooting until we stop.
What do I need to have to have an in-home newborn session
A home! My travel set up includes my newborn posing set up and lighting, so truly all I need is a space and your baby! Of course, things like a nice big window always make things easier!
